Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon Half and 5K Photos 2010
The 2010 Scotiabank Toronto waterfront marathon was filled with over 22,000 runners this year. Runners ran the 5k, half marathon and full marathon courses around the streets of Toronto. Quickly on its way to becoming a marathon major. Kenneth Mungara broke the previous record of fastest marathon in Canada and Sheron Cherop the women's marathon winner also broke the record. Jefferson the Dog Mascot of MyNextRace also shattered the Guinness Book of world records with a chip time of 4:15:03 wearing a dog mascot costume. These scotiabank toronto marathon photos were taken along the lakeshore between the Boulevard Club and Ontario Place, east of the DVP, along front street near Church St and at the Finish line on Bay St. The Official Toronto marathon photos can be found at Action Sports Internationals website ASI Orders See you at the 2011 Scotiabank Toronto waterfront marathon. Hopefully Rob Ford the Toronto Mayor candidate will come to his senses if he gets elected and support the marathon. He made some comments after the race about wanting to relocate a marathon to Toronto parks to avoid road closures. Obviously Rob Ford doesn't understand much about the sport of Marathon nor does he see the financial benefit of putting on a major race like this. If Rob Ford doesn't support the marathon he will have one of the largest blogging communities on the Internet "runners in Toronto" slamming him. Make the right decision Rob, support the marathon.
